About Mt Coolum Retreat

Mt Coolum Retreat is a three level Queenslander style residence nestled at the foothills of the majestic Mt Coolum and enjoys spectacular views of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

We are centrally located on the Sunshine Coast, with unspoilt beaches only a few minutes drive. A scenic twenty minutes drive to the north is cosmopolitan Noosa, thirty minutes drive south is beautiful Caloundra, with Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and Alexandra Headland in between. Thirty minutes west is the picturesque Sunshine Coast Hinterland dotted with charming small towns and villages with an abundance of things to see and do.

The property is nestled on a quarter acre block surrounded by natural flora and an abundance of native wildlife. Kookaburras regularly visit our guests at breakfast time on the second level deck. Green tree frogs, many varieties of native birds, possums, geckos and small lizards all reside in our bush-land surrounds.

Mt Coolum Retreat is ideally located for those who are attending functions at either the Hyatt Regency Coolum or Novotel Twin Waters Resort. We are located approximately 2 minutes drive from the Hyatt, with the Novotel Twin Waters Resort approximately 8 minutes away by car.

Mt Coolum Retreat is a purpose built Bed and Breakfast, providing complete privacy for guests. The property features four guest rooms, with three rooms on the first level adjoining a large guest lounge area designed for relaxing and unwinding. Books, magazines, games and a CD player are all provided for guest’s enjoyment.

The living area opens onto a paved garden with a kitchenette, outdoor setting, and BBQ for guests use. All rooms have a private entrance from either the guest’s lounge area or french door that opens onto the guest’s deck.

A delicious full cooked breakfast is included in the tariff and is served on the second level deck with stunning views to the Hinterland. Breakfast includes your selection from a fresh tropical fruit platter (seasonal) served with yoghurt, a selection of cereals, breakfast sausages, bacon, eggs (poached, scrambled or fried), cooked tomato, toast, preserves, raisin toast, fresh juice, a selection of Twinings teas and Lavazza plunger coffee.
